RIDE RECOVER RECONNECT

Helping veterans, first responders, and others affected by PTSD find healing, community, and purpose through cycling.

ABOUT US

Group of cyclists on a country road

Built for Belonging and Forward Motion.
We use cycling to build recovery-centered community for people affected by PTSD.

New Horizon Cycling Foundation exists to help people reconnect with themselves, their communities, and a renewed sense of purpose.

We believe recovery is stronger when it happens together. Through cycling, shared experiences, and supportive community programmes, we create opportunities for veterans, first responders, and civilians affected by trauma to rebuild confidence, improve wellbeing, and form lasting connections.

Our approach is grounded in respect, inclusion, and trust. We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, and cycling abilities, providing a safe and supportive environment where progress is measured not by performance, but by participation and personal growth.

As we grow, we remain committed to transparency, strong partnerships, and meaningful outcomes that create lasting impact for the people and communities we serve.

VISION

A world where no one navigates trauma recovery alone and where movement, belonging, and support are within reach for everyone.

VALUES

We are guided by safety, dignity, inclusion, accountability, and community. That means beginner-friendly programs, person-first communication, honest reporting, and partnerships built on shared purpose always meeting people where they are today.

PROGRAMS

Programs That Meet People Where They Are.
Supportive cycling programs designed around access, routine, and community.

Our programs are built for real lives. We know that confidence, equipment, transportation, and trust can all be barriers, so every program track is designed around gradual entry, practical support, and genuine connection.

Guided group rides built around consistency, encouragement, and shared experience not speed or performance. From low-key introductory meetups to longer community rides and fundraising events, there's a place for everyone.

Starting from scratch or returning after years away? This track covers basic skills, safety orientation, route confidence, and small-group support at whatever pace makes sense.

Access matters. New Horizon Cycling Foundation works to remove equipment barriers through bike referrals, loaner bikes, helmets, basic gear, and partnerships with local shops for tune-ups and repairs.

Beyond the ride, we're building mentorship opportunities, volunteer ride leader roles, family-friendly events, and pathways for participants to grow into advocates and community leaders within the organization.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer With Purpose.
Help create safe, welcoming cycling experiences that support recovery and connection.

Not sure where to start? There's a role for you.

New Horizon Cycling Foundation offers meaningful ways to contribute on the ride, behind the scenes, and in the growth of the organization itself.

Volunteers support group rides, event logistics, bike repair, outreach, photography, fundraising, and more.

Some roles are participant-facing; others are flexible and administrative.

What they all share: real impact, clear expectations, and a team that takes the mission seriously.

We build our volunteer culture around consistency, respect, and reliability.

Every volunteer receives orientation, role-specific guidance, and a commitment from us to use their time well.

We're not looking for occasional help — we're building a trusted team.

BIKE VALET

In partnership with Hospitality Parking, we provide secure and professional bike valet services for community rides, cycling events, races, festivals, and corporate gatherings.
Our team ensures participants have a safe and convenient place to store their bicycles, helping create a better experience for every event.
